Kitchen linens are the most essential linens in any home. They form a vital
part of any household work. As the use of these linens is vast so is the
requirement. They are widely used for a multitude of uses and so they should
be cleaned and taken good care of. Clean and properly stored kitchen linens
leaves an impression of your own personality.
- Wash or dry-clean your linens thoroughly
before storing them to prevent mold growth. Stains will easily mold if
they go unchecked.
- Soak them in warm water for better cleaning.
- Brush off any mold you find on your linens outside so the spores do
not land on fresh linen. Soak linens in bleach and water before washing
to remove any excess mold.
- Rinse linens thoroughly of all soap to prevent spotting.
- The detergents that contain bleaching agents are perfect for white
linen but should not be used for washing colored linen or else your

- Store linens in cotton, linen or muslin if using a garment bag.

- Never use chlorine bleach to remove stains - it can damage the
fabric.
